Aidon has been neutered for quite awhile now. He does not start fights with my other dachshunds but he will definitely join in and hang on once a fight starts, so he needs to find a loving home where he will either be by himself or with a spayed female or another neutered male. He's fine with big dogs. He is currently living in a run with 2 intact males and gets along just fine with both of them. Aidon is very sweet and friendly and LOVES people, though, whether they are young or old, short or tall, or male or female. He would make a fabulous therapy dog for nursing homes and rehab centers with a little obedience training.
He likes to chew his nylabone or a big beef knuckle bone, but doesn't really care for stuffed toys or balls. He's not a natural retriever. However, his one passion is hunting, whether it's rabbits, rats, squirrels, birds, you name it. So, he MUST have a securely fenced yard to run and chase squirrels in, because if he gets loose, you won't get him back easily or at all. He becomes "deaf" and will hide in brush piles so you won't catch him. Inside a fenced yard or in the house, he is very obedient.
He is quiet inside the house and in his crate. He loves to snuggle on the sofa or in bed, and to travel in the car. He does not dig outside in the yard at all. He is leash and crate-trained and is good for baths and nail cutting. He is not really a very big boy, but he weighs 11.5 lb because he is very muscular. Graham is a "tweenie" and looks like a small standard. He weighs 16 lb. and is lovely conformation -wise. He was part of a standard piebald breeding program that I started with a co-owner (his dam was a standard and his sire was a large mini). He was never shown because he is terrified of men, period. We did not get Graham back from his co-owner until he was over a year old, and he was already like this when we got him. In over a year, my husband has fed him and tried to get close to him, but Graham is still afraid of him and will not come anywhere near him (all my other dogs love my husband). Graham likes women OK but really loves small children for some reason. He is a sweet, affectionate boy on a one-on-one basis, and loves his bones and Kong toys. He loves to lay on top of his doghouse with his hind legs splayed out as in the picture above. He is free ONLY to an all-woman household who will neuter him (forcing him to accept a man in his life would be too cruel for this dog and he would probably bite if cornered by a man). He gets along fine with the minis and my large dogs. He is crate- and leash-trained (sort of). I feel sorry for this sweet boy who has to spend all of his time in a small pen with one other dog because my husband can not get his hands on Graham to put him up in his crate to feed him along with all the other dogs when I am gone. I also will not ship him as I think that would blow his mind.

I really love Byron, but he as been producing a disproportionately high number of pups with demodectic mange which is a genetic defect, so he is sadly available as a neutered pet for $150 (pick-up price). Byron loves people but is a bully with younger/weaker dogs. He does not start fights with other dogs or join in on fights, but he constantly picks on those who are weaker than him. Thus, he either should be an only dog or should have an older, dominant female or male as a companion. He adores his plush squeaky toys and never destuffs them. He used to dive into the bins of stuffed toys at dog show vendors and try to carry one away. I once let him select his own toy at a show, and he chose a stuffed yellow ducky that he then proceeded to carry all around the show site quite proudly, going up to people to show them his new toy. He really is a darling with people although he should go to a home with children age 10 or older as he has not been raised with them. He is very well crate- and leash-trained and loves to travel.
